The Great African Foundation is a youth-led organization that aims to build a prosperous Africa by empowering young people to take action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We believe that young people have the power to change the world, and we are committed to providing them with the resources and support they need to make a difference.

Brenda Charles Sanga

My name is Brenda Charles Sanga. I first heard about TGAF when we first went to Save Africa Orphanage centre in 2019 ,at first I didn't think much about it until one day in 2021 the Organization invited me to volunteer as a Finance Manager.I was bad at it but, I was happy to be a part of something great and that was my start at TGAF very few, but wonderful people. I would say it wasn't sunshine and rainbows but it really opened my eyes about my community.Because everyone can see a problem in the community but only those who act on it actually make an impact. I had to go to university in Kenya, and my position changed from Finance to General Secretary and now am a proud member of TGAF, and I would say TGAF gave me an opportunity to meet like minded people and well that developed as a career in the future and I can still rely on TGAF even now because it is is full of different people in a good way and I can't wait to be part of Hearts for autism project this year and well hoping to work as a Psychologist in TGAF in the future.

The Foundation provided the platform, empowering me with skills and connecting me with projects that aligned with my passion for education. My name is Hamis Issa Mshana, a dedicated member of The Great African Foundation, and having served as both a Digital Media Specialist and the General Secretary, my journey within the organization has been shaped by impactful connections and participation in influential international conferences. Engaging with fellow members has not only broadened my perspective but has also solidified our collective commitment to positive change. Throughout my tenure, I spearheaded significant projects with the foundation, leaving a lasting impact. The "Jahazi la Upendo Charity Event" showcased our dedication to philanthropy, providing essential resources to those in need. The "Green Paradise Event" underscored our commitment to environmental sustainability, promoting awareness and action for a greener future. Additionally, the "Vidumez Talk Event" created a platform for empowering discussions, contributing to the intellectual growth and awareness of our community. Being a member of The Great African Foundation has led me to participate in conferences like ITAC 2022 and 2023, providing a distinctive platform to showcase our foundation's initiatives on an international stage. Engaging in fruitful discussions with global participants has not only enriched our projects but has also fostered valuable collaborations with external organizations, significantly expanding the reach and impact of our efforts. Having been a Digital Media Specialist and the General Secretary of The Great African Foundation has not only connected me with inspiring individuals but has also positioned our initiatives on the global map, thanks to these international conferences. Together, through these projects, we actively contributed to positive change and progress in communities throughout Africa.
