2020 marked the inaugural year of The Great African Foundation, a testament to the unwavering spirit and vision of its young founders. The maiden project, the “Youth Jungle Safari” at Manyara National Park, brought together 20 young participants.
In 2021 and 2022 we witnessed the transformative power of action through six impactful projects each year — Jahazi la Upendo, Go Green, Thanksgiving Charity, Embrace Heritage, Safe Hands and Skonga Package — while taking part in summits and seminars nationally and internationally.
In 2023 we exceeded our targets, connecting with over 700 young people across communities, and took youth empowerment beyond Tanzania’s borders with exchange visits to Rwanda and Nairobi. In 2024, Hearts for Autism, support for the CHANUA MTOTO Centre and the Kijana Africa Summit showcased our commitment to social causes, youth leadership and cultural preservation.
Our legacy serves as a source of inspiration for future generations — demonstrating the potential of youth to drive positive change and shape a brighter future for Africa.
